“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
Nice to meet you!
I am Jeanne Shoaff, the potter behind Fire and Light Ceramics. After more than two decades working as a gallery director and curator in northern Colorado I hold great admiration for art and artists. I began dabbling in ceramics in 2010 and couldn’t shake my love for this medium. I jumped in full time in 2019.
I believe surrounding yourself with beautiful objects enlivens your life. If those objects are things you can use everyday when sharing time with friends and loved ones, even better!
I create elegant functional and decorative ceramics for your home and life. Wheel thrown vessels are hand-carved or decorated with underglazes featuring organic shapes and patterns that mimic the beauty, movement and inherent balance of nature.
The pierced cutwork allows for beautiful shadows when used with candles or placed in a light-filled space. From votives to flower vases, berry bowls to serving dishes, these unique pieces serve functional purposes and are beautiful objects that add elegance to your home and life.
To purchase something from Fire & Light Ceramics please visit Trimble Court Artisans in Old Town Square at 118 Trimble Court, Fort Collins, CO. My work is often available at the Northern Colorado Potters Guild Sales. Information on event dates is here.
